©AfreePress-(Lomé, october 17, 2023)-Cameroonian journalist Alain FOKA announced his decision to depart from Radio France Internationale (RFI) after three decades of dedicated service. He made this announcement in a statement issued on Monday, October 16, 2023.
For the past 30 years, Alain FOKA’s voice has left a mark on RFI’s airwaves with programs such as « Afrique Media, » » Le Débat Africain, » « Afrique+, » and « Archives d’Afrique, » which are followed by millions of people in Africa and around the world. « I have decided and chosen to leave RFI at the end of this October 2023. It has been a rewarding experience, and I thank you for your extensive support, as for all these years, these appointments have always been among the most watched on RFI’s broadcast, » he stated in a message posted on monday, october 16, 2023.
Mr. FOKA expressed his desire to dedicate himself to personal projects. « This is a new beginning for a more extensive dissemination of African thought, projects, and visions in a rapidly changing world. There will be a great surprise in the coming months, a rebirth, » he noted.
According to information, these « personal » projects will take place in Togo.
Leaked information reveals that the renowned commentator and journalist, followed by millions of people on social media, has partnered with friends to create a company specializing in consulting and marketing. This company is named « MENSSAH, » and it will be led by Alain Marcel GUEO FOKA himself, who has chosen to reside in Lomé.
The company, already registered, will provide consulting services, strategy consulting, lobbying, support, event and conference organization, study publication, production, realization, and the provision of audiovisual services, article writing, sound or silent video for various media formats such as television, the Internet, DVD, and the press. It will also offer marketing and communication consulting services to businesses, local authorities, and public organizations, along with training services related to its field of expertise.
The company’s share capital amounts to fourteen million (14,000,000) CFA francs, representing 1400 shares with a nominal value of 10,000 CFA francs each, of which a quarter has been paid by the associates.
Alain Marcel GUEO FOKA, who will reside in Lomé according to the company’s documents, will assume the role of the company’s top executive. The company’s constitution was officially approved on September 4, 2023.
